LISA McGREW
Accounts Receivable Specialist
Lisa McGrew joined LARC in 2026 as an Accounts Receivable Specialist, bringing decades of experience in medical billing, coding, auditing, and revenue cycle management. Her healthcare career began in 1990 and has included work across cardiology, primary care, general surgery, hand surgery, orthopedic surgery, and physical and occupational therapy. She has also held roles as a medical transcriptionist, biller, coder, auditor, and manager.
Lisa's professional background also includes service as an EMT-Paramedic and extensive training through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). She previously held the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential from 2006-2024 and the Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) credential from 2013-2024.
At LARC, Lisa works behind the scenes to help ensure claims are handled accurately, outstanding accounts are appropriately followed up on, and reimbursement issues are investigated rather than simply accepted. She brings a focused and determined approach to her work and is not quick to give up when a claim or financial issue can be resolved. Just as importantly, she believes that good revenue-cycle management means protecting the patient's financial interests as well as the practice's.
When patients encounter confusing or frustrating financial issues, Lisa's approach is patient, calm, and practical. She works to help people understand the process and navigate their concerns rather than leaving them to figure it out alone. Her philosophy is straightforward: "Be fair, be honest, be kind."
Outside of work, Lisa is a proud grandmother of two granddaughters. She enjoys watching them play sports, doing crossword puzzles, watching detective shows and Dancing with the Stars - and she can even claim a disco dancing contest victory with her dad.
